This is a photo of our grandchildren taken at Cragun’s beach site in July 2010, all here except one. We have been coming to the Oaks for three days in the last week in July or the 1st three days in August for over ten years and booked the next five years already. We are very pleased to be at Cragun’s. It’s a wonderful place for our family reunion every year. Thank you so much.

2. Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach

My favorite memory of Cragun's would be when I worked there from October 1990 - August of 1993. I had the best time working there, and made many friends. I worked in the Dining room when Ron was the manager, and Elsie was the assistant manager. We had such a good time. I remember many of the guests, and one spring I played the Easter Bunny for the Easter Egg hunt down on the beach! I loved having the suit on and taking my picture with several guests and their kids! My favorite serving area was on the beach for the Luau's, and poolside for the Sunday night BBQ's. I lived in the girls cabin just up the hill from Dutch and Irma's house, behind the A-frame building. Had several roommates come and go, and made happy memories while living with them. I left Cragun's after getting married. We moved to Arizona, and are planning a trip back to Minnesota June 1-19. My kids have never been to Minnesota, and I am looking forward to taking them back home!

3. Most Beautiful Resort Ever

My favorite Cragun's memory was two years ago. I was participating in the MTA annual Pool Tourney. Cragun’s was the most beautiful resort/spa hotel I have ever stayed at! Not only was the room beautiful, with a fireplace and also a beautiful view of the lake, the people at the resort were the most friendly I have ever witnessed in all my stays at hotels! Thanks for a great time! I hope to have many more!

4. Taking A Breather To Relax

My favorite memory was when my late wife Kim and I came up just to take a breather and relax! We "spa'd" together and had wonderful meals in the restaurant as well as in the bar. We left soooooo relaxed and rejuvenated and ready to take on the world! OK maybe not the world, but at least everyday life.

Thanks again for a very wonderful experience!!

p.s. Wish Kimmy was still around, we talked about that trip all the time.

My favorite Cragun's memory is our FIRST stay with Cragun's! Last Easter we got a great deal for the Easter weekend, and from our initial check-in, we could tell the place was special! But the best part of the weekend was Easter morning - after the FABULOUS buffet, the kids got to hunt for Easter eggs on the beach and meet the Easter bunny. After some cold & rainy weather - Easter morning was beautiful - only needed light coats. Our daughter had a blast!

2. The Games, Animals & Egg Grab

My husband was deployed to Iraq. I was worried how hard this would be on our 2 young boys since it would be the first holiday (Easter) without him. Money was very tight, but I felt it was important for the children that we do something. Cragun's was the answer. Upon arriving my first wonderful surprise is that my sister had called and arranged to pay. This gave me peace of mind to also relax and have fun. My kids loved the games, the animals that were brought in, and the Easter egg grab. I had also hidden easter eggs all over our bedroom. Thanks for a happy memory during a difficult time!

3. Can’t Lose!

My friend and I decided to come up to Cragun's. We enjoyed WONDERFUL services in the spa. Enjoyed beverages in the bar along with Karaoke. We played pull tabs and continually won enough to pay for dinner, drinks, and our entire stay!!! Thank you Cragun's!

4. Being There For Gatherings

My favorite Cragun's vacation memories were being there for gatherings. My first memory was when I was a teenager I was at Cragun's for a Jobs Daughter gathering and competition. There were so many activities for us and the adults. The second time I was at Cragun's was for a builders convention. This time I was on the committee to help coordinate and plan the gathering. Again, Cragun's was so accommodating to our large group. Our rooms were very spacious and clean. There were many activities and the food was wonderful. I have referred many companies and groups to Cragun's because of our experience.

Easter Celebration...Something For Everyone

With 50% of the votes, the winner of last week’s "Favorite Cragun's Memory" poll was "Easter Celebration...Something For Everyone" from Jodi.

Even as I type this my daughter is asking when we get to go back to Cragun's again (it has been echoed repeatedly through our house since our trip there).

I took my daughter and her grandparents to stay for the Easter celebration there and we all had a blast. From the wonderful food (grandpa's favorite), Carnival games, visits by the Easter bunny himself (my daughter's favorite as not only she, but papa made sure to play nice to get the loot on Easter morning), the horse ride (mom and nana's favorite), to all the other fun things going on...there really was something for everyone.

Now it is not a matter of if we are coming back...just when we can find the time to get away and make some more great family memories.

2. The Whole Weekend Vacation

Here is our story at Cragun's...

My husband and I love to take weekend driving trips. We start driving and have no set destination in mind. We drive, sight see, shop, eat and when we are tired or find something really interesting, that is when we stop and stay over night.

We set out on one of our journeys and happen to run across Cragun's. Our first thought was that we wouldn't be able to afford it because it was so huge and offered so many fun things to do.

To our surprise, it was well within our budget. We absolutely loved our stay. Our room was wonderfully cozy. The site from the window was beautiful, and going for a walk by the lake was so relaxing and romantic. While there, we ate at the dinner buffet by the poolside. OMG was the food awesome! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it was a very pleasant supper. In the morning we ate the breakfast in the lower level and it also was a very pleasant experience.

The whole weekend vacation was one I will always remember because we found such a wonderful place with very reasonable rates. That is something hard to do now a days... We plan to bring our children this summer so we can enjoy nature at its best and make some great family memories to always look back on.

Thank you Cragun's, for making this a family friendly and cost friendly place to make great cherished memories.

4. Daughter’s First Mani/Pedi

We took our kids to Cragun's several years ago for a long weekend. It was March so it was very quiet, which we loved... your new spa was open and I booked an appointment for my daughter to get her first mani/pedi. She still remembers it. We had a very relaxing weekend!
